Please join us for our kickoff event of the year: a Family Concert by Palenke Arts' own Juan L. Sánchez Ensemble featuring three of our "maestros" (teachers) Spanish singer-songwriter Juan L. Sánchez on guitar and vocals, the amazing Paul Contos on flutes and sax, and keyboard wizard Eric Wobbles plus special guest and virtuoso drummer Mike Shannon.

The ensemble will be performing their unique brand of Nueva Trova (Spanish New Song, inspired by the Latin American Trova movement) with jazz and world music arrangements  at the outdoor patio next to our facility at the Martin Luther King School of the Arts. After the concert we will have a potluck, giveaways and a few surprises.

Please bring a potluck item to share, blankets, low-cut lawn chairs, dancing shoes and community spirit are highly recommended!
